Sylhet, Bangladesh is at the foothills of the Himalayas on the border of India.  Rocks are collected by hand to bring down to the capital of Dhaka which is built on runoff from the mountains and does not have rocks.  An alternative to rocks for building material, women in Dhaka break bricks into little pieces for approximately $1/day.
